Bulukumba is a town 135 kms to the south of Ujung Pandang. Pleasant
white Sand beaches are found outside the town. In 17 kms from the town there are several
shipbuilding yards. From these shipbuilding yards many big and small Sulawesian sailing
vessel are built including Pinisi Nusantara that sailed the Pacific Ocean and Ammanna
Gappa that reached madagaskar.
