  • Ramadhan Cake Fair

    This is a special fair open in the afternoon during Ramadhan, the Moslem fasting month, specialising in traditional cake and food which is popular for the meal to break the fast. Held in Banjarmasin city.

  • Mappanre Tasi
    This sea offering ceremony held on the beach of Pagatan, originated from the Bugis settlers (from South Sulawesi). The programme includes public entertainment, race, contest during a week, in the middle of April.
  • Traditional Boat Racing

    Held among villages and organizations, with 20 rowers a boat. With thousands spectators. Held in Banjarmasin City on Augusst 117 (Indonesian Proclamation Day) and September 24 (Banjarmasin Anniversary).

  • The Thanksgiving Ceremony
    The Dayak Tribe, who still embrace their local faith, called Kaharingan, hold a ritual Thanksgiving ceremonyduring the nights of the harvesting weeks. The rice harvesting usually occurs between July and September. It takes place in Loksado, the area of jungle mountain trekkingand white water bamboo rafting.

  • Swimming Buffalo Race

    This swimming buffalo race is a rare unique tourist attraction to see. Held in Berawa-rawa village. Danau Panggang monotonous lake. This popular event is participated by some villager's delegation. This annual event is held every August 17 to celebrate the Indonesian Independence Day.

  • A Traditional Kite Competition
    This is a traditional kite competition where participated by kite lovers and villagers. This annual event held every 26, 27 and 28 August in Banjarmasin.
